India SRF Centre

The genesis of the Sustainable Road Freight (SRF) India group started with the visit of Professor David Cebon in September 2019 to the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) and the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM). Researchers from these two institutions have been investigating research topics that align with the overall vision of the global SRF group. The Indian group members collaborated on research that investigated optimization of design parameters for electric vehicle sharing platforms and characterization of passing sight distance and its impact on freight logistic efficiency. These have resulted in technical publications and a few more are expected soon. Future plans include potential researchers exchange and pursuing more related research projects such as those including truck platooning.
